Rethinking VoP: Tailored Solutions for Banks, PSPs, and Payment Institutions

Core Module – 1:1 Implementation of EPC Recommendations

Our basic package lays the foundation for reliable VoP implementation:

Handling of diacritical marks/accents according to EPC recommendations
Case normalization (upper/lower case)
Removal of non-alphabetic characters (except digits)
Removal of titles and salutations
Adjustment of the order of first and last names
Fixed rule for green match: full match per EPC recommendation
Fixed rule for yellow match: a maximum of two deviations allowed. A deviation is defined as a difference that can be corrected by deleting, replacing, adding one character, or swapping two adjacent characters. Replacing a first name with its initial also counts as one deviation. Unlimited entries per IBAN are supported (e.g., legal name and trade name(s), multiple account holders)

Diacritical characters: Customer-specific adjustments, e.g., handling of German umlauts (ä, ö, ü, ß) differing from EPC guidelines
Character cleaning: Custom lists for removing or keeping specific non-alphabetic characters, e.g., “&” in company names
Titles and salutations: Customizable lists for removing specific titles/salutations
Name order: Flexibility in handling the order of first and last names, including hyphenation
Deviation tolerance: Dynamic tolerance rules based on name length
Matching logic: Fine-grained control over matching algorithms, including custom replacement weights (e.g., „AG“ ↔ „Aktiengesellschaft“, „Mayer“ ↔ „Maier“ ↔ „Meier“)

Our solution supports the specific requirements of corporate clients:

File formats: VoP verification of pain.001, XML, and CSV files with respective feedback (e.g., pain.002)
Trade names: Provision of trade names in separate files for improved assignment
Identifiers: Support for additional identifiers such as Legal Entity Identifier (LEI)

For institutions with multiple BICs, we offer:

BIC-specific settings: Individual configurations for each BIC within a multi-BIC structure
IBAN-specific validation rules: Differentiated rules based on specific IBANs
